Scandinavian Capitals
Norway, Sweden, Denmark
6 Days
Multi-city
Short on time but want to see a little bit of each country? This is the perfect trip. In just 6 days you will be able to see the highlights and taste the food of all three Scandinavian capitals.
Day 1 – 3: Copenhagen
Maybe most famous for beer and baked goods, the Danish capital has a lot to offer its visitors. The city is easy to explore by bike or on foot, and with plenty of cafés and restaurants there is no reason to go hungry. For the art lover, the renowned Louisiana art museum is an easy 35 minute train ride from the central station, and the city itself is home to a number of historic sites – such as the Round Tower and the royal palace, Amalienborg.

Day 3 – 5: Stockholm
Only an 80-minute flight, or 5,5 hours on a train from Copenhagen and you arrive in Stockholm. Spread across a number of smaller islands, the Swedish capital has earned the nickname ‘ Venice of the north’. It is easy to move around the city on foot or by subway, tram and ferries.
Make sure to walk through Gamla Stan, the city’s original centre, with cobblestone streets and small town squares – stop for a coffee and an icecream in one of the many little cafés here. Close to the city centre you will also find the outdoor museum Skansen and the popular Vasa museum, home to the 17th century sunken warship by the same name. If art and music is more to your liking – Stockholm has 16 different art museums – and the ABBA museum!

Day 5 – 6: Oslo
From Stockholm, Oslo is a quick 1-hour flight away (or 6 hours by train). Being one of the fastest growing cities in Europe, lots of things have changed in Oslo over the last decade. There is a new opera house, a new Munch museum and a whole new city quarter – the Barcode area – to mention a few.
Oslo is surrounded by water and forest, and activities like hiking, kayaking, swimming and island hopping are all within easy reach. Buses and subways take you where you need to go, and the main city centre is easily explored on foot.
